The Podstrana municipality is located southeast of Split, about 8 km from the historic center of town.

It covers an area of 11.5 square kilometers, from the foot of Mount Perun (with the highest peak 533 m) with the Žrnovnica River in the northwest. The coastal part of Podstrana extends 6 km long, with a series of retracted bays of pebble beaches.

Along the coast from the northwest to the southeast is the Adriatic road that connects the continuously extending urban area that rises along the coast along the pitched Peruvian slopes.

The area belongs to a pleasant Mediterranean climate throughout the year, which is perfect for cultivating Mediterranean crops: olives, grapes, peaches, citrus and figs.
